Correl guide
Prepare your data for Correl.
Prepare your sales data, map fields and relationships, correct import errors and test the results before moving to Correl.
Define the first scope.
Choose the teams, customer records and active sales work to include in the first move. Name the person responsible for the source data, the pilot and the final cutover decision.
Prepare the records.
- Identify accounts, people and opportunities, including the links between them.
- Document the fields, stages, currencies, dates and ownership rules in use.
- Find duplicates, missing values and records that should be retained or excluded.
- Agree how notes, activities, files and historical context will be handled.
Map and correct.
Map the source into the agreed Correl process. Inspect import exceptions and assign corrections. Check a representative sample against the source rather than relying only on a total row count.

Validate with the team.
- Open key accounts and confirm the people and opportunities are related correctly.
- Check access using the roles your team will actually use.
- Take a representative opportunity through its next action and handoff.
- Check report totals against the source records.
Agree the cutover.
Set the source freeze, final import, validation, correction and recovery responsibilities. Agree training and support. The timing depends on the source systems and scope; decide it after discovery.
